In the third quarter of 2024, the Health and Fitness category on the unified platform in Central America showcased some interesting trends. Here's a closer look at the top five apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.

WalkWork by Smark Clark saw a noticeable decline in weekly downloads, starting from around 190K in early July and dropping steadily to approximately 28K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users mirrored this trend, peaking at over 1M in mid-July before decreasing to about 62K by the end of the quarter.

IMSS Digital, published by IMSS, maintained relatively stable download numbers throughout the quarter, ranging from 83K to 121K weekly. Active users also remained consistent, with a slight increase in early August, peaking at 262K before stabilizing around 228K by the end of September.

Flo Period & Pregnancy Tracker from Flo Health Inc. exhibited a steady weekly revenue, generally hovering around $44K to $48K. Weekly downloads started at 107K, dipped mid-quarter, and then rose again to 95K by the end of September. Active users remained robust, starting at 1.5M and reaching 1.6M in mid-September.

Health Sense: Blood Sugar Hub by Health Applines experienced a sharp increase in downloads, particularly in September, where it jumped from 60K to over 327K weekly. Active users rose accordingly, from about 57K in early September to 375K by the end of the month. Revenue, although initially negligible, showed a gradual increase, ending the quarter at $30.

Lastly, Health Tracker: Blood Pressure by Lite Tools Games experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at 80K in early July, dropping to below 5K in early September, and then rising to nearly 20K by the end of the quarter. Active users followed a similar pattern, seeing a low of 46K and climbing back to 93K by late September. Revenue was minimal throughout the quarter.
